Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Greetings!
As we sail into the beginning of the year 2023, let us once again re-ignite our sole lively hope in looking forward to the coming of our Lord. We shouldn't be ignorant of the fact that in the early 1980's many servants of God and believers who came to this oil desert country as expatriates envisaged a place of worship. The struggles faced were fierce and manifold but without losing hope, prayers and tears were made and shed. Undoubtedly the unchanging God who never suffers a righteous soul to famish, heard their cry and worked on their behalf. As a result in 1996 with a few believers the church, Ebenezer Pentecostal Assembly began to take shape. By the grace of God, the church began to grow rapidly. I thank the Lord who despises not the small beginnings!
Dearly beloved, Be assured that God has begun a good work in us and he is faithful enough to fulfill it till the day of his imminent coming(Phil 1:6). Be encouraged that you're relentless and laudable efforts for God in the past and present has established and edified our church into spiritual stability and maturity. However discerning the signs of the times its worth to remind ourselves again that our walk must be circumspect in a manner worthy for the Lord, feeding on to the pure word of God which is regrettably being compromised and adulterated by dishonest workers. but as for us we can be certain of the fact that just as Paul puts it in Hebrews 10:35, "So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you."
The exhortation of Paul is always relevant, 'serve one another in love'. True faith issues in love and true love issues in compassionate service. May the Lord strengthen us for a selfless service for the growth of his church and the extension of his kingdom.
