Youths are the backbone and the engine of the future Church. Their potentials in this day and age is unmatched like never before. Proportionally is their responsibility towards the Church with a genuine heart before the Lord.
Over the past few decades, the church has seen a drastic change of attitude in the minds of the young Christians. Most of the youngsters perceive the church as a religious organization to be solely attended for the hatch, patch and dispatch occasions. Where are our Youths today to stand for God and His Holy Word in this world rampant with sin? What has caused them to be ashamed of the Gospel of Christ?
Our Early fathers stood for God. Their zeal and fervent prayers had moved the hearts and minds of the unbelievers in so much that many came to God confessing their sins. Reckoning the world as dust and ashes they esteemed the reproaches of this world in exchange for the coming eternal weight of glory. Their vision was all about Christ and things above. Their Love was truly The Love of Christ and their hope was the coming of Christ. Their Life was their testimony - an aroma of Christ that permeated everywhere.
Where does our youth stand in line?
One of the prime targets of the enemy in these last days is aimed at waging war on the minds of the youths corrupting their minds with the entertainments of this world. That is to say, unlike witnessed by Early fathers who lived and walked in Spirit and whom the society revered, the minds of the Christian youth have been strongly influenced by the worldly lusts, weakening their desire to follow up with the divine standards of God leaving them unfruitful and unproductive for the kingdom of God. Pentecost which was an experience for Our Early fathers of the first generation has dwindled to become an imitation and a headache for the present generation. The craving for money, position, and power have paved way for a bleak future of The Church of God.
Let me guarantee that the Church is at stake when youths fail to line up with the ways of God. Dear Youths, Stand up for God! Arise and Shine! Set your aspirations on the heavenly blessings. Let your passion be upon the lost souls. Let nothing Separate you from the Love of God! Be the Warrior God has called you to be, your reward is great!
